Why am I blogging? I like to look at numbers surrounding the game of soccer and I like to ask questions and try to answer them. By blogging I can share my thoughts with others, get feedback and perhaps amuse other nerds. But I don't like large and time consuming analyses where the data collection process takes forever, so instead I will try with little effort and small data samples to answer the questions partially.
In this blog I will try to draw attention to interesting statistics in soccer and perhaps other sports. You will find comments on statistics produced by others and I will present interesting questions, which may or may not be partially answered by an imperfect analysis.
If you have anything to add to a post, please feel free to comment. Especially if you find mistakes made by me! There are already uncountable many incorrect technical texts on the web and I won't be glad to contribute to that pile.
